“Soooo… You are crazy about me?” Jayce crosses his arms and leans against Viktor’s desk, a grin stretched on his lips.
“Did you actually stop doing your job to come get validation about how much I like you?”
“Okay, there’s a difference between like and crazy about.”
Quirking a brow, Viktor replies, “Yes, Jayce, I’m crazy about you. I thought you knew that by now.”
“I suspected, but I wanted verbal confirmation.” Jayce’s cheeks hurt from how much he’s grinning now.
“I can’t tell if this is adorable or frustrating,” Viktor huffs. “I’m putting my job on the line, I wouldn’t do that for anything less than irrevocable insanity.”

His nostrils flared at his crude flattery. “I am afraid Piltover has willed it so.”
“You are a warlock, are you not?”
Viktor did not miss the way the smaller soldiers recoiled at that information. It was no use lying to this man. He had scented him out like a bloodhound. “Yes, lord. Although, my power is limited to the healing arts.”
“Then you will come to my camp and serve Piltover there.”
Piltover is at war with Noxus. When it dragged Zaun into its conflict, families were scattered to the winds and most were conscripted to the front lines. The warlock, Viktor, finds himself a captive in a Noxian camp until his salvation comes in the form of an arrogant Piltovian lord who desires information that would compromise all his fellow warlocks hiding from the Council. In his determination to refuse Lord Talis's demands, he can't help but be endeared to his more tender side, which may be the key to melting the lord's iron will.

Summary
Jayce looks at Viktor, taking in the indecisiveness on his face, the tightness in his shoulders, the haunted look in his eyes that never quite goes away anymore. And something inside him clicks into place.
It's not that Viktor doesn’t want him.
It’s that Viktor doesn’t trust himself to want.
"Is that what you need, Viktor?" Jayce asks, eyes softening. "For someone to take the choice away from you? Because I can do that for you, if you'll let me. I can take control from here on out and you'll never to worry about anything else. Would you like that?"
Viktor's eyes are wide, lips parted from where his mouth has fallen open slightly, and for a moment, he seems speechless, but then he nods, a small, barely perceptible shake of his head that reveals more than enough of his longing. "Please."
After waking up in an unfamiliar timeline, Jayce and Viktor find it all too easy to fall into bed together instead of talking about their feelings. This, naturally, leads to consequences neither are prepared for.
Like unwittingly falling into a dom/sub dynamic, for example.

It’s only when his eyes catch up to his nose that all peace he felt before gets drained in an instant as he spots a group of men and women surrounding Viktor. No, not just men and women, they were all alphas. Alphas that were leaning in too close, leaving too many touches no matter how supposedly innocent, and not-so-subtly trying to cover him in their scents.
Jayce had never thought himself a possessive man, until now.

After a series of mistakes, Viktor finds himself going into heat during a crowded holiday gala. When Jayce finds him, all logic flies out the window. Their partnership will never be the same, but perhaps that's not such a bad thing.
