He was his first friends and Niles decided that day that his entire life purpose was to help Leo. Niles flirts with both Leo and Takumi, Leo has a crush on Takumi but doesn’t realize he also loves Niles while Takumi is in gay denial and having an existential crisis. This whole serie is basically cringy cheesy fluff with them.

Thrilled for the opportunity, Hwei accepts the invitation without a second thought. he doesn't care about the identity of the man, he doesn't care where he's being invited to, he's intrigued by the man's charm and talent, thriving to make his gallery as perfect as he aspires. He feels as if the mysterious man pulled him out of despair and gave him hope, he's finally found a reason to live, not just to impress him but also the excitement for the beauty of the grand display makes him feel alive again. On the other hand, the mysterious artist takes an eccentric liking to Hwei, he promises him that he will make him 'dance' on the 'final scene', and claims he can't wait for their 'performance' to begin.

"Did you really have to grab me when I jumped?" Ezreal grumbled, casting a quick glance at Kayn. "Now I’ve got to run from you again, and I’m running out of tricks..."
"Can you shut up for a second, Blond?" Kayn snapped, his voice low and irritated.
Ezreal blinked, taken aback by the sudden shift in Kayn’s tone.
That’s when Ezreal finally took in their surroundings. The forest wasn’t the same anymore. It had grown deeper, darker, the air thicker with an eerie stillness. It was a far cry from the forest they'd been running through before the cliff.
A chill ran down Ezreal's spine. "What... where are we?" he muttered, his voice softer now.
"This is not good," Kayn said, his voice low and edged with tension.
When Ezreal attempts to steal - study - an ancient artifact from a temple in Ionia, shadow assassin Shieda Kayn tries to intercept him, only for the two to end up trapped together in a never-ending forest.
