They beat the Netherbrain, they escaped death. Astarion had survived. And more importantly, he was finally free and had his family. Everything was perfect, he had Halsin and their twins. It should have been his happily ever after.
Then Zariel showed up and Astarion was left having to save Halsin this time around. And he is going to need some infernal assistance.

“Deal.” Halsin said.
Astarion felt the ground beneath his feet shift as the portal opened. He tried to step away from it, but Hope was still gripping his arm. He growled and shook the grip off. Handing the pups to her. He moved towards Halsin. Vines slid through the portal and grabbed him.
He snarled and tried to fight them.“Halsin!” He cried.
When the druid turned to him his eyes were wrong. There was an inky blackness creeping into them. The alpha grimaced and raised his hand.
The vines tugged and Astarion was pulled backward.Series
