Life's been feeling incredibly monotonous for you lately. And it certainly doesn't get much better when you're randomly teleported into a gameshow with a disembodied voice for a host.
If it wasn't obvious after reading, most of the dialogue of Freefall through Screwball is straight from the transcript. I did not write it myself. It is what is actually said in the episode.

“—First of all, not everything’s about you,” Steven butted in, shutting Jack up. “And second, you could use the help— I could use the help.”
And before Jack could even get a word in edgewise, Steven rattled off, “You’re always talking to yourself, the kids don’t like your attitude, and you don’t even know our token to dollar exchange rate.”
Jack didn’t see his point. “So?”
Steven did not dignify him with a response. “His name’s Dave. Dave Miller. And he’s coming in later today, so be nice.”

Dave tries to get Jack to spill secrets by getting him drunk. It backfires on him in the worst best way possible.
Jack is completely bewildered at Dave's behaviour the next day and is adamant on knowing what happened when they drank last night. Too bad he can't remember anything and Dave is avoiding him in a way that makes it everyone else's problem too. What the hell.

Derek let himself fall into unconsciousness, his head starting to ache less and less as he finished with the letter to Avery. He was dying.
He knew he had to be dying. What else could this be?
He couldn't hear the king anymore, and as what Derek pretended to be sleep took him, he smiled. This wouldn't be the worst ending, after all, he supposed. At least Avery would be alright, even if he knew that it would hurt.
At least I won't have to deal with all of the classes I must have missed, he thought on a lighter note, as the darkness finally took his mind.

“Derek brah are you gonna play or what.” I hear Avery’s whine through his (horrible) microphone on discord.
I sigh “Give me a second, my steam is still loading.”
I hear a dramatic sigh loudly echo through his mic. “Did the fucking king or whatever nuke your computer along with your infinte knowledge or do you just have horrible wifi.”
“Shut the hell up.” I say with faux annoyance
He quickly became my closest friend. Avery was someone I just connected with. Not just because we almost died and destroyed the world together but because he was… Avery.
I don’t think I can say it much gayer than that.
“Oh my fucking godddd im actually about to just load up valo im not even joking.” Avery groans out.
