Summary
Federal agent, Clarke Griffin, was driving to the remote town of Polis, in the state of Minnesota. She had been assigned a new case in which she had to investigate a possible serial killer. But almost arriving at her destination, around midnight and after turning thirty-one, an unusual large-scale storm broke out, so she had to test her driving skills to keep the vehicle on the road. In the midst of her desperate struggle not only with the fury of nature, but also with a car that suddenly did not respond to her, she was surprised by the presence of a mysterious motorcyclist. A woman who would completely captivate her and who would change her destiny forever.

Summary
