Reo stumbles and almost drops his coffee. “You—holy shit,” he says, stopping a few feet away. “Nagi. Hi. You’ve—you got—huge.”
Nagi just blinks. “Yeah.”
Or: ‘holy shit, you were the scrawny, sweet baby that I protected from bullies in middle school, but now we met again years later in college and you’re huge and distressingly hot.'

Summary
Nagi’s hair was just as soft as he’d remembered, even without the help of Reo’s expensive conditioner. He kept his touch careful, light. Nagi’s breathing stayed slow and deep.
“You’ve always been just fine without me, huh?” His chuckle was more helpless than anything, but he tried to keep his voice light. There was no use grieving what was already over.
Knowing that didn’t stop him from allowing himself a few more moments of sorrow, though. He ran his fingers through Nagi’s silky hair, one last time, trying to burn the sensation into his palm. “I’ll be okay.” This time, his voice was steady. “Just… give me some time to get over you, okay?”
Or: The two times Reo talked to Nagi while he was asleep, and the one time he gets caught.

When Shidou Ryusei and Mikage Reo find themselves heartbroken and miserable at the same godawful house party, they land on one obvious solution: fake date each other to make their respective almost-lovers jealous.
If Nagi can’t see that Reo’s the ride-or-die standing right in front of him, then Reo will make him look.
