Wills life had never been the same since vecna. After his procedure, everything changed. He was treated differently, he couldn’t pursue any professional life, and he could hardly live without someone supporting and checking in on him.
Everything was different…everything but Mike, the love of his life. Mike stayed by his side, Mike took him with open arms, Mike took care of him. Mike was his daddy, he made sure he took his meds (Mike was VERY strict about that…) and he always made sure Will knew he wasn’t going anywhere. Ever.
Mike kept Will safe…and if anyone tried to argue that, Will knew to tell Mike and he’d take care of it. He always did.

Summary
Five love letters are accidentally (and maybe also purposefully?) sent. These letters are sent to the following:
Richie Tozier: a boy will kissed back in the seventh grade as a result of truth or dare, he’s now considerably popular and is dating the captain of a the cheer squad. As much as Will has forgotten about that kiss ( I mean let’s face it, clearly Richie is straight and only kissed him cause of the game) his heart still flutters when he passes Richie in the halls.
Mike Wheeler: Wills own sister’s boyfriend. Will knows how messed up it is that he is in love with Mike, but in all fairness, he was friends with Mike…best friends, long before Jane and him had even started dating.
Miles Fairchild: a boy that Will had gotten very close to when Mike first started dating Jane. They had been close friends all throughout eighth grade, sadly broken apart when Miles was sent away to boarding school.
Boris Pavlikovsky: A “fling” Will had briefly when his family moved to Lenora, California.
Chris: Wills past summer camp crush.

Summary
The party has all gone their separate ways, Mike lies at home, years later. He goes through a box of things his friends had given him as keepsakes, discovering an unopened letter, signed by none other than William Byers. Finally visiting the part of himself he’s been repressing his whole life, he realizes everything, his love for his old friend, how dumb he’d been to not make a move when Will loved him, and most of all how ignorant and horrible he’d been towards him all those years. In a desperate attempt to make his life right, he calls Will, living states away, and confesses his love.

Will Byers and Mike wheeler have been on and off for the past two years. About two weeks ago they got into a rip roaring fight that pushed Will to the point of, as Jane likes to say, “dumping his ass”. Mike has been a hot mess to say the least, calling Dustin every night to cry about Will. The group is exhausted and just wants things to go back to normal, a light bulb flickers on in their minds on a warm may night when Mike informs Dustin over the phone that his cousin, Richie, will be staying in town for the summer. The perfect plan, they think, use this “Richie” kid as a buffer between Will and Mike. Surely adding a new person to the group for a few months will help mend this awkward mess, right?
