Summary
Hermione Granger has always been sensible, logical, and immune to reckless charm. Sirius Black has always been none of those things.

Summary
Dudley Dursley's daughter turns out to be a witch, and Dudley does the unthinkable — he asks Harry Potter for help.
Harry is ready to expand what remains of his family. He is far less prepared to do it alone, especially if it means returning to the Dursleys and reopening a part of his life he'd rather keep closed.
So Harry comes up with a plan. A simple one. A slightly romantic one. One that involves Hermione Granger as his fiancée — someone brilliant enough to impress, steady enough to cope, and familiar enough to feel safe.
Friends-to-lovers Harry/Hermione rom-com with fake engagement, family drama, magical chaos, smut, and a guaranteed happy ending.

Summary
“It’s not a problem, ‘Mione,” Fred says honestly, because, well. Taking Hermione to the Yule Ball really isn’t going to be a problem. Really.
“Still, I owe you,” she says. She settles back into her seat. “How’d you know, though?”
“The panic,” Fred laughs. “You looked like you were about to fall out of your chair.”*\
Viktor asks Hermione to the Yule Ball but she’d really rather not go with him. So she makes up a little white lie and Fred swoops into rescue her once he realizes this. Later, she swoops in to save him when George makes the wrong assumption.
It’s just a few weeks of pretending to date between two friends, just to help each other out. Nothing will go wrong. They’re sure of it.
