“Kiri,” Spider says, stopping her in her tracks and catching her hand to keep her from lunging forward. The new bead in his hair weighs a tone, and hers catches the light as she turns her betrayed look on him. “It’s okay.”From Lo’ak’s expression it’s definitely not. He wasn't exactly sure what he saw in this boy. He was a sky person child. A pink-skin. He shouldn't want anything to do with him.
But Tsu'tey couldn't help that when he caught a glimpse of Spider, something in his heart loosened. He saw an innocent child who had great potential.
So it took him little time to decide he would adopt this boy, regardless of the thoughts of his people. He was Ole'eyktan, he protected the people. And Spider? He was one of the people.
"A-are you sure, Tsu'tey? He isn't like you. At all." Norm laughed, watching as Tsu'tey cradled the small boy in his arms. Tsu'tey simply watched with a smile as Spider slept soundlessly.
"Yes." Was all he said, a strong sense of pride as he looked down at the boy he would call his son. Sylwanin would be proud, he was sure. Even if the boy couldn't physically connect to Eywa like they could, he was no less Na'vi than any of the Omatikaya that walked amongst hometree.
This was his son. And he'll be met with death before he let's anyone take his son away from him.
