Summary
Post 4th Ninja War AU, where Obito survives and being kept prisoner, eyes and chakra sealed away.
Kakashi, while happy that Obito was alive, knows that the latter's circumstances are horrible, that he was just rotting away and wishing for death.
He loves Obito. And he knows that his feelings are unrequited. He could pretend all he wants, but at the end of the day, he knows.
That Obito would rather be with Rin in death rather than be beside Kakashi in the living.

Summary
sometimes someone (me) wants a major character to live (spoilers for both games inside) so they write canon scenes and some made up scenes from kazuma asougi’s perspective to kickstart a tiny butterfly effect. and then that someone (me again) also writes a multi-chaptered epilogue set post dgs 2 that has with ryuunosuke naruhodou and kazuma asougi dating. if that sounds cool, cool!
basically this is canon + an extra case i made up and then it ends when ryuunosuke... and kazuma... are no longer across the sea from each other :O
canon : chapters 1 through 55/56
the extra case : chapters 56/57 through 88/89
tying up loose ends : chapters 89/90 through hopefully 110ish?fic status: i'm writing the 2nd half of the epilogue, so it's not done, but i'll post chapters when I finish them - currently working on the last november chapter (in fic time). planned to end sometime in the fic timeline's February
-i'll try to have the next chapter out during late august - updates planned like once a month bc life's been busy
