Summary
Saps knows that, in hindsight, all this will be pretty funny. But right now, he's slumped in his white SUV at the back of a Burger King parking lot, gnawing on lukewarm fries to distract himself from the fact that there’s literal shit raining into his new apartment.
When Saps transfers to his dream university for his junior year, a string of characteristic bad luck lands him on Flux's doorstep.
Problem: he hasn't spoken to Flux since that catastrophic fight at his high school graduation party, and, as his former best friend, he knows very well that Flux can hold a grudge.

“How about framing someone?” he continued, watching the excitement in Thomas’s eyes grow with every passing consonant.
“Depends on who.”
“His name is Saparata Theria,” Fluixon said nonchalantly. He felt rather cool saying that. Maybe he was cringe, but to be cringe was to be free. Well— only when it applied to him, of course.
“I mean… I have no attachments to him.” Thomas tilted his head, brown hair flopping into his eyes. “But don’t you feel a little bad? Throwing the person willing to room with you under the bus?”
“I’m the same as you.” Fluixon shrugged, taking another sip of his drink. “I haven’t known him long enough to feel guilty.”
Thomas shook his head, amused. “So heartless.”
Alternatively, Saps is the scapegoat in every universe, or at least every universe Flux inhabits.

The wards hummed louder, responding to the spike in magic, or emotion, or whatever fragile equilibrium had just shifted. Gold threads shimmered faintly around the circle, tightening like a held breath.
“You’re not imagining me,” Fluixon reassured him. “I know that’s what your brain is telling you. It’s lying.”
Saparata’s vision blurred. He blinked hard, once, twice, trying to clear it.
“Then why can’t I touch you?” he demanded, gesturing sharply at the wards. “Why is there always something between us?”Alternatively, in a world of magic and mayhem, can a relationship carry on?

The night progresses with flirts, fights, and more. Entangling the two men together, with the taller showing just how much dedication one can offer.

Summary
Saparata lives a very average, miserable life. He has school, that's torture, and he also has a job, another horrible thing.
Not to mention, he lives in the darkest part of the country, the state of Yggdrasil. The place is a ruin, with buildings worn down and barely holding up, roads with cracks and potholes.
One day, while he's wrapping up a bouquet of flowers, the number one villain, The Architect, stumbles into his shop. The feared villain bleeding with a large gash across his stomach and looking like he's seen better days.
Saparata has a dilemma whether he should help the villain or not.
...He helps the villain anyway. He swore to help those in need, after all. The person in front of him is a patient first and foremost. The Architect being the most terrifying villain in the entire world comes second.
Or
The classic villains and heroes AU with Saparata being just an average guy that gets dragged into their world all because of his kind heart, helping an injured villain in need.
Is his life still average after this?
