Summary
Shane Hollander spends the 2010 Prospect Cup Tournament in a small room, being questioned by police. He thinks that telling the truth will save him. Instead, he’s betrayed by his teammates and pushed to the forefront of a scandal that destroys his chances with any NHL team. Only one professional hockey league is willing to look the other way.
Desperate to play, Shane Hollander signs a contract with the KHL, packs his things, and moves to Russia.
(Or: As he grapples with a scandal, Shane gives up on the NHL and ends up playing on Ilya Rozanov’s KHL team in Moscow. Timeline compliant AU – we don’t know what Ilya was doing in 2010 before he was drafted, so it’s possible he spent some time in the KHL)

Summary
Shane Hollander can’t keep sitting on his couch, nursing a broken leg and watching his team drown without him. He’ll do anything to fill the gap hockey left behind, even something as stupid as competing on Celebrity MasterChef.
Shane wants a distraction so big he’ll forget hockey, forget Rozanov, and especially forget that afternoon in Boston, and the outstretched hand he walked away from. Unfortunately for Shane, ignoring Rozanov won’t be so easy when he’s one table away, wearing a matching apron, and talking to the cameras about the recipes that shaped his childhood.
(Or: Right after the tuna-melt scene, both Shane and Ilya get injured, and to fill the time they both decide to go on Celebrity MasterChef.)

Summary
“Isn’t that your friend? Shouldn’t you do something about his head?” Asked the girl next to Wilson, staring curiously down at House as his head hit the floor with another loud thump.
“Oh, he’s fine,” said Wilson, at the same time as House said, “I think it’s a bit late for anybody to do anything about my head.”
“He thinks none of this is real,” Wilson explained helpfully. “He thinks that I’m not real, and so I can’t help him because he’s actually still in a hospital in New Jersey.” The child blinked up at him with wide and uncomprehending blue eyes.~
House and Wilson fall through a portal to a fantasy realm. House still attempts to do extreme and unethical medical procedures on anything with two legs. The magical inhabits are disturbed by even the concept of surgery.

Summary
After a viral photo outs Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov while they're still busy pretending their years-long situationship is mostly just sex, the fallout gets complicated fast. The world reacts badly. Their teams react worse. Ilya's future in North America starts to look alarmingly fragile, and Shane, who has never met a disaster he didn't try to control into submission, throws himself into fixing what can still be fixed.
Ilya has spent his whole life being wanted for the wrong reasons and discarded for the right ones. Shane has spent his whole life believing that if he is careful enough, good enough, controlled enough, he can keep disaster from reaching the people he loves.
A practical solution emerges, then a house, then rings.
Somehow, by the time they say their vows, both of them are certain they are the only one who means them.
