Summary
“What?” Jeongin prompts, leaning with his palm against the bar counter. “I said Minho hyung’s name, and your face got all red. Do you guys know each other?” he asks, and then— “I got a sense that was the case earlier in the firehouse. He’s not usually so relaxed around new people.”
But Jisung’s mind is stuck on one thing. “My face got all red?” he asks, subconsciously bringing a hand up to his cheek to feel the warmth of his own skin. He does feel a little hot under the collar all of a sudden, but in that moment, he chooses to blame it all on alcohol. Even though all he’s had is maybe three sips of beer.
“It did.” Jeongin grins. “So, what’s the story?”
(For a firefighter with years of experience under his belt, Jisung should probably know just how easy it is to rekindle old flames. Alas.)

Summary
As a boy, Chan’s understanding of what it meant to be a man had hinged on the importance of self-sacrifice. A man takes care of the people around him. Now, Chan doesn’t know how to let Felix see the sore, ragged edges of his own needs without the foundation of himself falling away.
Or: Stray Kids arrives in Sydney on the Australian leg of their tour, Chan is on hiatus and recovering from injury, and Chan and Felix aren’t speaking.

Summary
“If I’d known you were going to be this much of a menace, I’d have reconsidered becoming friends with you.”
“Would you actually reconsider, though,” Minho replies with little preamble as he skips a few steps ahead, repositioning himself so he’s walking backwards and still facing Jisung.
“...No, I wouldn’t,” Jisung says with a roll of his eyes. “But if you’re really not planning on coming back next year, it would be nice to stay in touch once camp ends.”
There’s a glint in Minho’s eyes again, and for a moment his face becomes truly unreadable. The facade fades in the following second, and Minho answers his query with a gentle smile. “Of course, of course. I’d love to find out what the bunch of you get up to when we’re not swamped with kids trying to find out what poison oak feels like.”

Summary
Jisung doesn’t know, and he doesn’t understand anything. But he does miss Minho’s big, round eyes and his childish smile, he misses his jokes and his sarcastic cadence. He misses the fact that Minho used to stare at him like he was the most fascinating thing in the world, that he’d smile a little embarrassed when Jisung caught him.
Minho reaches out with his hand and their introduction is hazy—still Jisung knows that Minho will change his life—the ground is shaking when they make eye contact, the stars start twinkling. Minho will change everything.

Summary
Jisung is pretty sure you’re not supposed to hear record scratches in real life when you’re hit with something so out of left field, but right now it screeches very loudly in his head.
Did he hear Minho right? Did he just say daughter?
Oh my god, has Jisung been trying to flirt with a married man?
He’s going to be sick.

or: Jisung gets stuck in the office after hours babysitting his boss' daughter.
