Summary
“What’d you think the world would be like without curses?” Geto murmured distractedly, as if he was speaking it out into the universe and not the passive air of his room.
Gojo’s fingers curled into a ball. Lips parted, taking a breath.
”There’d probably have to be no humans for that to happen.” He recovered with a nervous laugh. Not giving this new topic much thought.
”Or no non jujustu sorcerers.”

Summary
The room buzzed with a low anticipation.
A feeling most people would dread in this kinda setting; drunken bets, the clicks of stacked chips, cards splayed out lazily across coffee tables.
However among a sea of unlucky bastards getting swindled by fate, stood Hakari.
A man who undoubtedly thrived in this kinda environment. With an uncountable win streak and attitude of a business man who’d already secured a deal, Hakari reigned superior in all aspects of luck.
Some suspected he was just cheating, some thought his victory’s were simply due to pure ignorance. Hakari joked it was because of his “good luck charm”. AKA the pretty girl perched on his lap as Hakari flung chips and cards around the table like a veteran magician.

Summary
Yuta’s heart dropped when he saw her. Perched on a stool with that same stoic look, like a bird of prey; sharp and observant.
”Maki,” He murmured voice cracking with worry on that second syllable, eyes searching hers trying to gauge how she felt through that stone cold look.
It had been almost two years since he last saw her. And over the span of that time Yuta kept her in the back of his mind, her voice like a keepsake, sarcastic, blunt, even sweet at times. Regardless of the situation she inspired him. In a world where he felt cursed and useless Maki made him realize his own purpose, like a dwindling spark nearly reduced to ash reignited.
Which is why it pained him even further to see her the way she was. Bearing scars that could’ve been prevented.

Summary
Yuta barely noticed the creek of the door or the muffled shuffling in the hall as Maki entered, too entranced with scrubbing each dish to perfection. Cleaning becoming a weirdly therapeutic hobby he’d take part in whenever Maki was out for work- Her subtle satisfaction and gratitude being an added plus -She wasn’t one for big gestures or cheesy romance, but a soft smile and cheek kiss from Maki felt like a thousand from someone else.
Yuta only fully registered she was home when he felt the familiar comfort of her arms around his waist and head in the crook of his neck, savouring his presence.
”you cleaning again?” She murmured, a hint of surprise in her voice.
Yuta just nodded with a hum, as Maki shifted slightly tilting her head up now resting her chin on his shoulder to properly look at him.
”wow, quite the house husband you've come. Such a good boy.”
Yuta paused, a plate nearly falling out of his hand.
