Astarion looked up, squinting, and found a large elf waving at him from one of the stalls.
He blinked. “Me?” he mouthed, pointing at himself.
The elf nodded, smiling as he held out a jar of something golden.
“Some honey,” the elf said as Astarion drew closer. Oh, he was large. Taller and wider than Astarion could ever hope to be. His sun-kissed arms were corded and strong. “To sweeten your day.”

Vi didn't think much of her soulmate. She figured meeting them or not would be like a lottery game.
Caitlyn feared meeting her soulmate, haunted by the fear that they would not be able to bear having to play the game of high society and would reject her.
Viktor didn't believe in soulmates. He thought it was something for the rich and the wealthy. Not for people like him.
Despite these conflicting ideals all four had been born with soulmarks so they knew one way or another meeting their soulmate was a possibility. But they never expected to meet them at the induction ceremony at their new school.
They also never expected for things to go....so horribly wrong.
