“You’re funny.” Her voice is soft, tender in Samarie’s ear, and then she feels rather than sees Marina pause. “Well. If I stop to think about it for more than a second, it’s more sad than funny, but still.”
Then Marina’s hands drop to hers, gently guiding her hands back up to cradle the length of her back once more. “You can touch me, y'know.”
Samarie is scared to breathe for fear this will all go horribly wrong, clutching onto Marina like a lifeline. Fingers splayed, soaking up every inch of warmth she can. Summary
