Summary
Ten years have passed since the scandalous affair of the Opera Ghost. Christine Daae's courtship with Raoul de Chagny has crumbled, and she is living in relative obscurity under an assumed name. This fic is based primarily on the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, with some of the pacing elements from the 2004 film. Love Never Dies does not exist in this universe.

Summary
IMPORTANT: Major Character Death, Violence, Underage, and Rape are NOT between the main couple!!! Underage/Rape (underage SA) is only mentioned and is in the past. This is a dark and spicy fic with a small amount of consensual rope play and possessiveness, though - so tread carefully if that is not your jam!
When Gustave Daaé finds himself unable to make a payment on his enormous loan for the third month in a row, his daughter Christine is taken as collateral until the money is paid in full. Although his lender would normally send his personal assassin - known to his frightened debtors as the Phantom - to end Gustave's miserable life, he instead has the Phantom keep Christine prisoner. Christine, naturally, fears her captor, fears his terrible mask, and fears the new life she leads - but there may be a kernel of warmth within the Phantom's icy, black heart. Complete. Enjoy!
