“I’m so sorry...”, James mumbled against Severus's back, the warmth of his slow breath settling over the raven's body.
James then laid a tentative kiss on the raven’s neck, his lips ghosting over the heated skin, flushed from the night's events.
Severus shuddered, swallowing loudly.
“I’m so, so sorry Sev. You didn't deserve any of this...”, James mumbled against his neck, placing another peck right below his ear.
A lone tear slid it’s way down Severus's face, pooling in his concave collarbone as his frame was wracked with quiet sobs.
“Then why did it happen to me?...”

Actually, I take that other bookmark abt theo and Harry back. THIS FIC IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE.
