Crowley waved his hand. “I’m not talking about something ordinary, like a miracle or a temptation.” He said. “I need you to be certain about this Angel, before I–” Crowley cut himself off. There was no need to get into specifics now. “Just…humor me. You want this? You really want me to show you this?”
“Yes.” Aziraphale said. He had a stubborn set to his jaw that Crowley had come to intimately recognize. “Yes, I think…Yes.”
Crowley experienced an odd sensation, like the planet was momentarily tilting sideways while he remained stationary. Or maybe he was the one tilting? It reminded him briefly of the feeling of watching a galaxy being born.
Crowley gives Aziraphale an important lesson on what it means to be human.

There was a red-haired sorcerer who lived alone in a high tower, and a blond prince who lived in a palace full of people. And they were both of them desperately lonely.
The Kingdoms of Empyrion and the Sorcerers of Apollyon have hated each other for hundreds of years, ever since the Great War. They do not interact, other than to occasionally try to kill one another. And they certainly do not make friends.
Crow is an exhausted sorcerer who just wants everyone to leave him the hell alone: for the Sorcerer’s Council to stop harassing him to live up to his potential, and for wannabe Empyrion Heroes to stop attacking his tower to try and kill him. Until one day when he meets Prince Azra of the High Fells, who doesn’t behave anything like he’s supposed to…
Part fairy tale, part fantasy, all love story. There’s magic, and grand romantic gestures, and Heroes and a handsome Prince, and a Villain. There are even some wild heroics, though not necessarily from who you would expect. At its core it’s simply about two (relatively) sane people living in a mad world who find each other.

He was married to a woman who handled the aspects of his job he didn’t want to and cared for his every need. He had mind blowing sex fairly regularly. He had everything going for him when he looked at the facts on paper.
Three nights. He could do it for three more nights. That’s all he needed. Then his world would make sense again. He could do it.

Summary

They could be the last people on earth, just the five on them inside by the fireplace and Eddie out here in the snow and rather than being disturbing the thought is weirdly calming. He wouldn’t mind it really, if the apocalypse had happened somehow; just as long as they were all together. "
