"Ah!" Straw Hat exclaims, bounding closer and clocking Marines on the way, his attention more on Law than the battle around them. "I got it! You remind me of my sister!"
"Your sister," Law repeats, more than a little baffled and wondering what level of blunt force might be necessary to induce trauma in a rubber skull.
"Yeah, Lami!" Straw Hat laughs, and Law freezes. "She's a seal!"
A name, three words, and Law's world shatters.
In which the Trafalgar family houses more than one secret, Law's list of tragedies starts a little earlier, and Lami gets very, very lost, but still manages to find her way home in the end.

Zoro is quiet for a moment. His eye, dark grey and easy to get a little more than lost in, meets Law’s. He can see the exact moment Zoro accepts that challenge by the way his lower eyelid squints up infinitesimally. “Sure,” he says, and Law is left floundering.

Summary
The sea is no place to raise a child, and Shanks knows that well, can trace it in all the ways growing up in the New World’s bloodshed left lasting scars.
But then Garp the Hero, Garp the Murderer of his Captain, asks him to look after one child only, the boy that Shanks had already crowned. Shanks relents, and hopes that someday in the future, Luffy will forgive him.
