Palpatine was shaking. “Anakin, I told you it would come to this. I was right! The Jedi are taking over.”
Master Windu raised his weapon at the same time Anakin ignited his own lightsaber. In one swift movement he'd cut through the flesh of Windu’s arm as the man yelled in pain, his cries drowned out by the cackled laughter of the Sith Lord who’d suddenly regained all his strength.
Master Windu screamed in agonising pain as Anakin stumbled backwards, his lightsaber dropping from his hand as horror filled his bones.
The last thing he saw was Master Windu’s body being flung out the window with incredible force . . . and then everything went black.

Day 3
Anakin woke up back in bed with Padme. The chronometer by his side read that it was 06:00.
He was starting to believe that what he’d just seen had not been a dream.
Anakin finds himself stuck in a time-loop on the very day that changes his life forever.

Padmé returns home and she tries to calm the war inside of her: head versus heart versus head versus heart versus head. (She is still not ready to let her heart win. She can't. She has a rule she cannot go back on.)
But when Anakin presses his lips to hers for the first time, his breath hitching in his throat, Padmé kisses him back. For a second, if only a second, she imagines what this might be like: no politics, no war, nothing but love.
