Summary
Bucky Barnes always assumed he'd live a fairly normal life. He's a history teacher after all, a normal guy from Brooklyn with a passion for the arts and humanities, who wants to share that passion with a new generation. A chance encounter with Steve Rogers uproots that normal life, however, and sends Bucky on a very different path than the one he'd always imagined.
Things tend to get complicated when you date Steve Rogers, living legend, Actual Hero; after spending some time in Hydra captivity, Bucky's faced with a long road to recovery. With the support of his loving boyfriend and the friends he's made in the Avengers, however, Bucky might come to realize that maybe, just maybe, he was made to be a hero, too.

Summary
Inviting his ex-boyfriend to senior week vacation with his friends seemed harmless enough even if it isn’t on the list of greatest things Peter has ever done. However, inviting said ex-boyfriend while Harry, Peter’s current squeeze, is along for the ride sounds like a recipe for disaster to anyone with more than a couple of brain cells.
Everyone is pretty much amazed at how simultaneously smart and dumb Peter can be.

Now, Steve's carefully rebuilt world is threatening to collapse again when he finds himself on a list of 'Untouchable People' in their neighborhood. Anyone who harms Steve Rogers will find themselves the target of a new, vicious mafia leader--the Winter Soldier.
(Or, the AU where Bucky tries to protect Steve by threatening violence on anyone who hurts him and inadvertently leads him into a world of mob violence, Interpol raids, and an overthrow of Alexander Pierce. )

Bucky crowded into the booth next to Tony and slung a friendly–and protective– arm around him. “Names James Buchanan but friends call me Bucky and pretty people like you get to call me Bronco.”
He winked and Tony blushed nearly scarlet, stammering uncertainly. “Well, I–I– you– um–”
“You wanna know why they call me Bronco, sweet thing?”
“Now see here!” Ty started to object but shut up abruptly when a rather large hand clapped down on his shoulder, Steve having to apply next to no pressure to keep the other man seated.
“Now see here.” Steve repeated, voice lowering dangerously. “I think you should reconsider your tone, because if you start a scene I can guarantee me and Bucky will finish it and you don’t want that to happen.”
“Sure would be a shame if I had to ruin this pretty table by putting you through it.” Bucky added, and when Steve sent him a look, Bucky ever so casually tugged at Tony’s sleeve so Steve could see just the start of finger shaped bruises at his wrist. “Tell me Tony, how do you feel about coming over and finishing your Valentines Day dinner with us?”
