Roger was dead.
Maybe for hours.
Now he was just a shell. Empty. Still.
Until his eyelids fluttered, slowly, as if from another realm.
And then… his eyes.They weren’t Roger’s.
Those eyes were the darkest, most lightless voids imaginable, two hollow pits, two black holes, like ocean trenches that, even under the faintest, coldest glimmer of light above them, remained depthless and terrifying. Yet however alien, they were not unknown.
All three of them knew exactly where those eyes had appeared before.
Just not on him.
