The movie changes scenes. The lead actor arrives at an elusive door, the camera deliberately hiding who stands in the doorframe. A feminine voice volleys back with him for a few lines before eventually inviting him in.“Why are you here, David?” The now unveiled woman questions. They were both dressed very nice, him in slacks and a dark colored button up with the actress in a silky dress the color of merlot.
“You know why, I know you got my letter.” David, presumably, returns with an intense stare directed her way as he steps closer to her. “Jenn, you can’t hide from me forever –”
I look back to Sam at the same time, also visibly confused. “I think we missed something –”
Jenn cuts David off by closing the distance between them and puts her lips to his. Instantly, instinctively, David kisses back with fervor. The camera briefly pans to his hands traveling down her neck, to the small of her back, and finally a firm grip on her behind.
I feel something on my back shift and push against me. I don’t have the courage to look back at Sam, I just keep my eyes glued to the screen.
