The grey cat took a small step forwards to get a better look at Kitty still perched in the trees. "Can you even get down?" He asked. Kitty could tell there was no malice in his voice, just pure curiosity, but it still made her huff.
"Yes, of course I am able to get down. I managed to get up here, didn't I? Who is foolish enough to start something they cannot finish?" They answered the grey one's question, though the last part of their answer was directed at Tigerclaw. 'I am not some helpless kit. I am capable of holding my own.'

“Rotation, thank you so much for telling me,” Grayleigh said, sniffling. She held his hands tightly, squeezing it with so much force it was less comforting and more painful. Still, it didn’t erase the fact that Rotation was bombarded with so many emotions that made him feel even weirder, so he continued avoiding Grayleigh’s look. Still, she continued, “There’s no way we’ll allow her to skip her birthday! Did she ever tell you when it was?”
“Uhh, nope.”
“Why didn’t you ask her!?”
“Was I supposed to?” Rotation took his hands back, scratching his head. “I mean, she did say she doesn’t like celebrating it anymore, so.”
“Well, we want to celebrate her!” Grayleigh sighed. “Can we let Mike in on this, please? Then, when we find out when her birthday is, we can throw a surprise party!”
Or: In the middle of an apocalypse, discreetly uncovering Meagon's birthday comes first before survival for Rotation, Grayleigh, and Mike. They do not succeed.

Once upon a time, there was a girl who never expected these events to fall upon her after leaving the mall, who can blame her, though really. It wasn’t her fault, but in any case, the black carriage came knocking her out, and loaded her and her bags into the coffin and carried her away. This is where our story shall begin.
