Summary
“Perhaps that name you like to call me might be part of the problem,” Eichi said, a sad attempt at a light-hearted comment that seemed to sting more than if he had chosen to not say anything at all. “But of course, that doesn’t mean you will stop, does it?”

Summary
It infuriated Kaoru, really. How easily Rei could conceal his thoughts to never be read and how easily he could become as open as a book by mere looks alone. It was when he didn’t want to know what Rei was thinking that Rei would make it known and it was when he truly did want to know, more than anything, that Rei made it impossible.
“I didn’t come here to talk about that,” Kaoru said, gaze firmly planted on the ground.
“You didn’t come here to talk at all, the same way I didn’t stay to speak with anyone,” Rei pointed out. “We only found one another through coincidence and are now engaging in activity we didn’t plan on doing. Would you prefer to remain alone with your thoughts as you had planned on doing?”
Perhaps not. Perhaps not, not then.
