Summary
Victors life had been painfully uneventful. Burdened with anxiety and loneliness, he routinely goes to work, comes home to feed Makkachin then sleeps with a heavy heart.
Though, one late evening, he is called into work, pulling him into a misunderstood mess involving drug dealers. The boss, however, looked nothing like Victor had expected.
He was breathtaking.
Victor is released back to his mundane routine, left to dwell on what happened. And much to Victors surprise, it was the most exciting night of his life.

“Rough day?” Jayce heard a low but youthful-sounding voice to his right.
“More like a rough year,” Jayce muttered into his glass before finishing the last of his whiskey in one clean swallow.
He turned toward the speaker.
Sitting beside him was… a boy. If Jayce had to pick a single word to describe him, it would be angelic.
His gaze traveled upward, to the long, elegant neck adorned with a black ribbon choker, a delicate silver heart resting at the center. Jayce had several deeply inappropriate thoughts about that ribbon in under three seconds.
And then he reached the boy’s face. It was beautiful. Unfairly beautiful.
Full lips, slightly parted. A beauty mark above them. Another under one eye. And those eyes, sharp, bright, golden. They reminded him of Millie’s eyes.
No.
No, absolutely not.OR: Jayce receives an invitation to Vi and Caitlyn’s wedding. The night before the official dinner, in the dim light of the hotel bar, he meets a young man whose eyes stir something painfully familiar, someone from his past. Someone he knows he shouldn’t want, yet can’t bring himself to walk away from.

“What's his name again…”
“Viktor,” Dmitri says readily. The tone of his voice betrays a familiarity that Jayce hadn’t heard before. No one ever interests Dmitri. Jayce grits his teeth, his blood pulsing. He doesn't need to listen to this crap. Shoving the papers into his bag, he prepares to leave before they notice him on the other side of the aisle.
“Viktor! That's the one! Professor Heimerdinger's assistant,” Oretz says. "Nice upgrade I guess. Trading administrative work for the lab.”
Dmitri scoffs a bitter laugh. “Well, it's not surprising. He's fucked half of the Academy.”
Now that stops Jayce in his tracks.
With Progress Day looming around the corner and news of Hextech’s triumphs, vicious gossip surfaces in the Academy about Viktor’s unsavory nightly activities. Jayce, of course, doesn't believe a single word. That is, not until his rival Dmitri brags about having a little sample.
Tortured by thoughts of Viktor sleeping around, Jayce’s suspicions grow until the truth becomes undeniable and his appetite grows sharp teeth. Jayce won’t settle for just a taste.

Summary
Jayce laid eyes on Viktor in their sophomore year of college and regrets never asking him out. Now, 8 years later, Jayce's life is lackluster. He's depressed and chubby, his confidence the lowest it's ever been. He still follows Viktor's Tumblr page, pining and crushing and lurking all these years later.

Summary
Viktor didn’t end up meeting his future husband in any of the usual places. Not an online dating app, not a club and not even through any mutual friends (not that he had very many of his own if he was being honest). Instead, Viktor met Jayce in the community garden at the end of his street.
Viktor is lost, having to rebuild his life after major surgery right after finishing university. Determined not to wallow in self-pity, he signs up to volunteer at the community garden at the end of his road, purposefully choosing a section that's been abandoned and struggling.
It's not just the plants that start thriving.
