Eddie Diaz is about to meet Evan Buckley.Buck is your average high school graduate. He played football, got decent grades, and is ready to start his life. Eddie Diaz is the whole package: high school valedictorian, star baseball player, ivy league scholarship, gorgeous. At the end of the summer, Eddie is moving from El Paso to Ithaca for college. Buck has three months to get what he wants. What Buck wants is Eddie.

Summary
Years before joining the 118, Buck’s travels take him to El Paso, where he meets Christopher. When Eddie comes back from Afghanistan and Shannon leaves, Buck ends up staying. As bills pile up, the best move is for them to get married, just for convenience, they’ll divorce when Eddie comes back from his re-enlistment.
Then Eddie gets injured and it’s just easier to stay married for a little longer, while Buck gets started at the 118. However, Buck doesn’t mention his ‘husband’ and kid, not feeling like they’re his to keep. When Eddie gets the offer from Bobby, they decide to lie and pretend they don’t know each other, so they can work together.
The whole lie gets out of hand as feelings start to become real, until it all comes to a head in the aftermath of the fire engine explosion.
AKA: Secret marriage of convenience buddie slow burn AU, where Buck and Eddie have been married for years so Buck could adopt Chris and no one at the 118 knows.

Summary
When Wymack, Kevin and Andrew came to recruit Neil Josten in Millport, Neil decided to say 'no' instead of 'yes' to joining the Foxes and does what he does best, which is run. Unfortunately, that brings him to the attention of the Moriyamas, who return him to his 'rightful' place.
Now Neil has to learn how to survive at the Nest with his only ally another 'asset' long kept under Riko's heel.

In the back of Andrew’s mind, he already knew the identity of the serial killer Nathaniel Wesiniski. It was impossible to not know. But he didn’t want to. He couldn’t.

But of course, it was.
Because Neil Josten was too perfect to be innocent.
(Little side note, some things about the characters are different; Aaron, Andrew, and Neil's heights have been changed to ones that are more realistic for their personalities lol, Andrew has grown out of his hatred for people as well as his inability to be touched {he is still sensitive about it, but he is okay with Neil feeling him up}, actually since this is a time skip, a lot of the characters are older and they have grown out of a few things. Just felt that adding this little note was a good idea!)
