While HUNTR/X is training for their debut, Zoey and Mira develop a crush on Rumi.
Zoey needs to tell someone but she obviously can’t tell Rumi, so she tells Mira… And Mira also so happens to have a crush on Rumi.
They bond over it, of course…but bonding ends up in Zoey having a crush on Mira and Mira having a crush on Zoey.

So.. Zoey tells Mira that she has a crush on her in private, a confession that may or may not end in kiss-swollen lips. And so, they form a plan to get Rumi to be their girlfriend… if she even likes girls.

Summary
Best friends in love until pulled apart, Rumi and Mira haven't seen each other in thirteen years. In the years between, Rumi has found love and success and had a family with Zoey, who has been searching for some missing piece to complete the family she's made with Rumi. Mira has made her own life and her own successes and is happy, even if she longs for connection.
And then Zoey meets Mira and Rumi and Mira see each other again and the three immediately fall into orbit like they'd always shared a center of gravity.
But Mira has something she needs to tell Rumi, only she doesn't know how.

I had this idea of a polytrix AU where Rumi is a princess hidden away since birth bc of her "hideous" patterns. (Drawings ahead!) Finally breaking free from her tower she runs - going into the first cozy inn she encounters, obviously co-run by Mira who tends to the drinks and food, and Zoey who is the local bard. They are secretly ex-fighters who left the queen's guard when they discovered about the princess being held. they see Rumi and immediately Fall for her NOT KNOWING she is the princess as Rumi has never been out of her tower. Ever.

Mira's brows twitch.
"I… I know now isn't the time, but I'm realizing that actually I haven't seen you get sick. Like, ever. Is that—"
"A demon thing?" Rumi whispers. "Probably. Celine always said I had a strong immune system."
Mira makes a face. One that Rumi would've struggled to decipher even if her vision wasn't so blurry.
"Celine… knows?"~
In the immediate aftermath of Namsan tower, Rumi wakes up the following morning sick as a dog. Zoey and Mira help her through it, while also confronting their emotions and assumptions about the events of the last 24 hours.
