A skeleton monster to be precise.
With the barrier breaking, a large surge of magic descended on the town you live in, and transformed you overnight. Unsure what to do with you, and the others changed, you're ushered into a facility until a monster with similar magic can take you to teach you how to wield the now uncontrollable magic you've been given. After waiting in this place for four years, you'd given up hope that anyone would ever want to take you.

One last score with the gang, you tell yourself, and then you're out. With your mage abilities it's a cinch, right?At least, it should have been. But one misstep lands you in the lap of a skeleton monster that's kinder and more broken than he looks, and it isn't long before you're navigating the road to recovery together, and helping each other see yourselves in a new light.

The only problem is, you weren't every little girl, and you didn't receive just any ordinary soulmate tattoo. From the age of ten you'd had to stare at the words "GET OUT OF MY WAY ALREADY YOU FREAKING NOBODY!", and know that's exactly what your soulmate would think the first time they ever laid eyes on you. That you were just some nobody, and from that moment on you no longer had the desire to meet this soulmate who apparently thought so little of you upon first glance.
But then you do meet him, and he changes everything.
