Summary
He’s staring at Langa. He’s cutting through the water like a knife. Cold, sharp, and heartless. It would be beautiful if it weren’t so tragic.
Something in Reki’s chest begins to ache, something he cannot name. It’s almost as if he focuses on the long strokes of the Canadian, he sees him pulling through the frigid waters of the arctic. As if the glaciers split just for him. As if it’s snowing indoors. He blinks and the moment’s gone. Langa slams his hand against the wall, well ahead of Hiromi. He slings off his red and white swim cap, shaking the water out of his long hair. When he looks up at the crowd, he’s looking at Reki.In which Reki loses everything, learns to exist, loses everything again, and then learns to live and love.

Summary
"Reki lets the words wash over him, sliding off because what does it matter what other people think? He's won! For once in his pathetic excuse of a life he fucking won! Reki wraps his arms around Langa and holds him close, heart throbbing and beating erratically. The burning sensation of joy almost hurts him, but it doesn't matter, nothing matters because his friends are looking at him and actually seeing him for the first time. He won against Adam so Langa doesn't have to get hurt! He won against Adam so that Adam won't ever hurt anyone else! He won against Adam so he's just as good as his friends now! He won against Adam so they care about him! Because now, they must care about him, right?!"
Reki may or may not have accidentally made a deal with the devil, but that's okay, right?

Summary
“Do you think Sam and Frodo would’ve gotten married?” He asks, interrupting himself mid-sentence. Langa, much to his credit, raises his eyebrow and swallows the massive bite he took.
“Why?” Reki shrugs.
“Or just seems like they were totally in love,” he tries nonchalantly, but is unsure if it comes across that way.
“Oh, they definitely were,” Langa affirms, continuing to devour his food. Langa got him into Lord of the Rings and they had multiple movie marathons (Reki is still working through the audiobooks).
“Yeah?”
“Mn.”
“Cool,” Reki says, looking at the blue, blue sky.Reki and Langa may or may not be idiots in love
