Summary
After collecting his own inhibitor rings from his fall from space, Shadow was drawn to Sonic, unnaturally so; even to the point of spying on him for his own gain. The gain in question? Not even Shadow's sure of that. In the simplest terms, his biology just finds the other hedgehog pleasing in a way he also doesn't understand. All the while Sonic is left the victim to suspect and eventually help his former enemy.

Shadow transforms into the Doom Morph after being surrounded. He's tired of Sonic's nagging to see this new form after the stupid Twitter event. He despises it, despises these powers; he knows he looks monstrous.
He expected Sonic to make fun of him, tease him, and be disgusted by him. But he doesn't get that. Neither of them expects to be in the damp, dark, cave, alone with the sound of their heartbeats.
Sonic is his. He will make Sonic belong to him.
