After returning from the other world, Luo Binghe wants to know why that lesser version of himself gets a kind Shizun whilst he did not. So he investigates and finds that Shen Jiu has gone amnesiac and weaves a false tale to get a loving Shizun of his own.
Shen Jiu is just playing along, memories fully intact, biding his time and planning on getting revenge until a problem arises: that Beast is not so bad when he’s being so tender.
