Summary
Jungkook peers through the eyepiece of his rifle. There’s a man sitting in front of a desk, Jungkook has a clear view of his face but whoever that strange man was, he was of no importance. The man sitting opposite was. Jungkook closed his eyes and inhaled. On the exhale, he pulled the trigger.
Kim Namjoon stares at the body slumped over the desk in front of him. He can feel the splatter of the man's blood slowly trickling down his face as it gently pools on the oak below him. A second shot never comes.
It’s not the first time Namjoon has stared down at a corpse, but it is the first time that someone else had pulled the trigger. Namjoon hopes that it’s just a coincidence.
And it is.
Until it isn’t.
