Summary
“Do tell him that we have enjoyed watching his team’s success in the American league, perhaps if he had joined Day’s team, he would have won the championship.”
The translator’s lips twitched at the comment. “Petra wants you to know how much they have enjoyed watching your team’s success in the American leagues.”
Andrew waits for the rest of the comment to follow. The translator seems set on editing, unfortunately. “Are they paying you well to play diplomat?”
The comment is out before he can stop it. It seems to take the translator by surprise and his mouth twitches into a barely contained grin.
“A certain amount of discretion is expected to keep international relations happy, yes.”
Andrew is intrigued by his honesty. “Tell them that Day would pitch a fit if he knew they found time to watch another countries Exy team. If you have time to watch than you have time to practice, after all.”
He translates perfectly with a smirk at being called out. Andrew watches him closely. If asked, he would say that this man posed a threat. In reality, he enjoyed the way he hadn’t backed down when being caught out.
“Why am I here if you speak the language?” The translator asks in English.

Summary
It was a strange thing, to see Azul smile genuinely. No schemes, no ploys, no trickery. Just a simple, genuine smile.
Jade knew the cause of it, too, which was of course quite fascinating, considering he had never thought such a feat possible, and yet. And yet. There he was, in all his glory, golden beads in his hair and false subservience in his scarlet-drawn eyes, a rare sight without a certain rich boy by his side.
It was indeed fascinating. What was it about this one Jamil Viper that could inspire such true and complete joy in Azul? Jade could feel his fingers twitching, no doubt with the desire to dissect that snake, pull him apart and dig until he finds that which makes him so, so special-
“You’re glaring,” Floyd informed him lazily, drawing out the vowels in the words, draped across the shadowed table they were sitting at, chair pushed back so far it was a wonder he could still reach the table, yellow eyes glowing in the otherwise darkness of their little corner. “Poor lil sea snake. Whatever did he do.” It was a mockery of a question, Jade knew, no real inquisitive intent behind it, only an insatiable need to be as insufferable as possible.
