Yes, I'm the chosen one.” Mydeimos answers truthfully. There's no point in lying, she simply needs to challenge the chthonic god and fight for her rights. She will not yield without a battle.
The strange woman sighs and shakes her head.
“I've sent so many signs that human sacrifices don't please me. Those old fanatics will never change their view, will they?” The divine envoy explains cryptically. Every word she spoke gave Mydeimos a new question. “Do they still worship Khaslana as a god of destruction? Did their view not change?” She sighs again. “I am Khaslana, goddess of Sun and Deliverance.”
That is not what Mydeimos expected.

“Feed on me.” Her voice was stern and serious, as if she was scolding a child.
Phainon's blank eyes widened in shock as she went stiff with primal desire. Her vampiric mind screamed in agony, Mydei's skin fluttered in rhythm of pulsing carotid. She couldn't tear her eyes off of her, the hunger grew uncontrollably.
“Please, Mydei… I don't want to hurt you.” The vampire whimpered, sharp fangs poked from under the chapped lip. They reacted to the obscene sight of delicious blood thrumming under the thin layer of flesh.
She couldn't bear watching Phainon torment herself. Her heart wept, seeing Phainon’s reaction to the smell of fresh blood. Phainon swallowed the thick lump stuck in her throat and kneeled down before her wife, gently cupping her chin to tilt it to the side. Wet chapped lips touched the fluttering skin, placing a soft kiss, thanking for the sacrilegious meal she was about to have.

Mydei's eyes were set on Phainon. He watched only Phainon. Maybe his behavior was a bit creepy, still he couldn't help staring at the way his Adam's apple bobbed while he swallowed another shot. The honey golden eyes noticed every tiniest detail on his roommate's being, from the one-day old stubble to the tempting beauty mark on his cheekbone.
Every evidence said ‘he’s straight’, he never seemed to be interested in men. At times like that Mydei wished he was born a woman. His affection wouldn't be taken as ‘being best homies’. Mydeimos put his heart and soul into every dish he cooked for Phainon, making sure every of them was high in protein. Phainon enjoyed every meal he cooked just for him, never questioning why he insisted on preparing them all himself. He never asked why Mydei watched him eat with a strange gleam in his eyes. He never thought that every dish was a silent ‘I love you’.
