I was surprised I didn't find more Fenris/Merrill fics, so I had to write it myself:
Merill thinks she is making Fenris' life better by redecorating the mansion without letting him know. The confrontation gets out of hand, and Fenris is caught by surprise by his reaction - from his body, and later, from his heart.

In memory of WithywindlesDaughter.
I started writing this fic a few months before she passed, and her generosity, humor, intelligence and pure kindness made me respect her deeply - both as an accomplished writer and even more as a beautiful soul.
This is a fan-fic of her unfinished work. If you haven't already, I would highly recommend heading over and read that first for all the amazing immersion into Tolkiens dwarven culture with an exciting, funny and romantic adventure with Fili and Kili as starcrossed lovers.
I know a little bit of what Withy planned for “A Long and Quiet Darkness”, and I might incorporate some of that plot in the background of my main story.
Any feedback is welcome guys:) I try to do my best but English is not my first language, please excuse any bad grammar. Warning: this is a slow burner – if you came here for the smut you gotta stay with me....

Every time you play a paragon Hawke, you just can't win when it comes to the end of Isabela's story arch. Either you forgive a selfish bitch who really should get some sort of repercussion for her transgressions, or you are a complete bastard who hands her over to the Qunari.
So I wrote an AU from when Hawke lets the Arishok have Isabela, and gave her a new story. With delicious Qunaris in it. And sex. And redemption. And maybe even love?
Dictionary/names are to be found in the beginning, middle and end for convenience.
