Summary
Zuko has not known real peace since the day he faced his sister in their Agni Kai many years ago. No matter how many times he tried to bury it, his feelings for Katara refused to fade. Summary
It was a brilliant plan, all things considered.
On paper and in the eyes of the public, they were a charming if oddly mismatched couple who somehow found love despite their differences. A fairy tale come to life, sighed the more romantic members of Ba Sing Se society.
So it was almost a shame that Katara's courtship with Prince Zuko was ultimately nothing more than an act - otherwise, they might have been a perfect match, if not the perfect partners in crime.

Summary
It’s nearing the end of Katara’s second visit of the year to the Fire Nation as Southern Water Tribe Ambassador. But the endless responsibilities of being Firelord has left Zuko busier than ever. With the limited time they have together, Katara’s visits have always ended with a shared, longing look and lingering embrace with Zuko until the next time they were to meet again.
Deep down, they’ve always felt like there’s something more between them. It was just a matter of who would take that first step to risk their decade long friendship to really find out.
