Rot: The process of organic matter breaking down: verb (v).
The world has rot. And anything organic left will rot.
Everything technically rots, and where one’s vitals are rotten before they’re born, circluilizers become the norm. Leira, a seasoned scientist
Who dedicated her whole life to reverse it, begins to wonder the point of it all when the rot has begun to take over her.

So take pride in the auburn leaves that coo,
For that is the beauty of autumn’s bloom. The changing of fall to winter, and the beauty of it all. I wrote this on ellipsus in class and I was just messing around and it popped in my head.
Winter and autumn are the most harshest seasons for many, and in literature winter is the ringing bell of death and life's pause. But many forgot about autumn (expect those who capitalize off of a season and halloween) or at least forget the beauty of autumn's Bloom into blue.

Summary
Identity. To sum it up.
I wanted to share something a little more personal as I was inspired by another poet on here and some other works of poetry. I just want to disclose that I am African/black American, which ties into this a lot as it's one of the most questioned parts of my identity by myself and others.
Using someone's preferred name gives them power and validates their identity, especially with dead names of trans people. Deadnaming them is to hurt their identity. To address them with no name would be to ignore that they exist. The last two are both terrible ofc but I just wanted to share what I took away from a video about identity.
Also don't ask what was going on at the third stanza.

Life is a sakura tree, Fleeing,
Draining for some,
Gleefully the tree soaks up the dedicated water
Forever bleeding onto the ground
It’s pink leaves shed into chapters
trunk sprout into hundreds of branches when a new idea is borne
Unsprouted Twigs fall to the earth
While the tree grows.
Life is a sakura tree. Potential rich yet bound by the branch of lexicon.
