He doesn’t realise he’s dozed off until there’s a thump elsewhere in the room that startles him, his eyes blinking back open. He absently rubs at the back of his neck, bracing himself for the inevitable struggle that will be standing back up, when a soft zip reaches his ears from immediately in front of him.
It’s only then that he’s properly roused from his dozing as he’s met with the sight of Bridget, freshly emerged from the shower, kneeling on the carpet between his splayed legs.

AN- I promised myself once I wrote Javier Peña's story, I'd indulge myself with an Oberyn Martell one. I'd debated on what story to tell. I have a few ideas percolating. However, this came to me in a dream. One that woke me up as the main character and Oberyn faced off. When certain truths were revealed- the absolute heartache and sorrow is what woke me. I knew this was the story I wanted to tell. Is the sorrow the end? Not necessarily- but the pain is part of the process that leads to healing. Especially for those who've lost so much for so long.
Summary- Prince Doran has declared Oberyn will do what's necessary for Dorne- take a wife. In fact, he's arranged for a royal tour among all major and some minor houses of Dorne, some in High Garden, and a couple in Storm's Reach, so Prince Oberyn can find an appropriate wife. Though Prince Doran has stated the woman must be of noble birth, doesn't care if Oberyn keeps his paramour, as long as Oberyn gets an heir upon his wife. As Oberyn seeks a wife, there are secrets to be found amid the House Tresbeni, the last house visited. The lady ruling there is single, remembers Oberyn too well, and hides a secret which could change everything for the Martells and Westeros.

Until Tommy's older brother shows up. You think Joel Miller is gruff and rude, and you're pretty sure he doesn't have a fond opinion of you either. That doesn't stop the attraction you feel for each other, but he's gone in a day. You settle back into a routine, thinking you'll never see him again.
