Summary
During the Battle of Starcourt, Jane manages to escape through the elevator after Billy knocks Max unconscious. Unfortunately, Mike isn't so lucky.
Instead of chasing after El, the Mind Flayer decides to claim Mike for the hivemind, finally seeking revenge on the boy who foiled far too many of his plans. By turning him into a puppet, he creates the perfect trap, confident his two worst enemies will blindly follow the sound of Mike’s screams and end up falling straight into his grasp.
But he doesn’t seem to count on his favorite vessel actually fighting back, determined to drag the boy he loves, his heart, back into the light.
