"Hey.. " Will shifts closer "what's wrong? "
Silence... No words come out of Mike's mouth, but he doesn't allow himself to look at Will either. He just sits there, head in his lap
"Mike, hey.. Please- what happened? " Will questions again, but to no avail
"Talk to me.. Please" He pleads again.This time there's a shift. Mike moves, but not towards his "best friend", rather further away:
"We should.."He tries. " We should go-"
One foot in the ground, steadying himself on his left arm, just as he was getting up-"Mike. Stop" Will's voice echoes. It's a serious tone this time, perhaps having had enough of passing the ball back and forth.
His hand rests on Mike's left shoulder, stoppint him from leaving and making sure he won't try to again either.Sigh [...]
"So? What's wrong? " Will asks
"I can't.. I don't-"
"Try to" he interrupts Mike

Summary
In the XVII century, a thin veil separates common mortals from a world of monsters. She reads a dark path in the stars, a prophecy they mock as they walk away, laughing at the "nonsense" of destiny.
But fate is not easily mocked. Disaster strikes with a swift, cold hand, dragging them into the very darkness they were warned of. The undeniable destiny foretold by the stars unfolds, shattering their world and changing the course of their lives forever.

Will tilts his head.

“What, um, creature would you want to encounter, hm?”
Will looks ethereal from Mike’s angle, he wants WIll to be above him forever. Will’s eyes take on a shine that twinkles down at Mike.
“Vampires.”
Mike’s mouth feels like a desert. Holy fuck.
Mike swallows thickly (Will watches) and looks at him with wide eyes. Will’s attention lies on the lipstick tube that he’s now rolling up, he glances up once. Mike manages to get one word out “...really?” Will smiles and shakes his head.
“Oh yeah– I would totally let a pretty one bite me.”

Summary
The first time it happens, Will classifies it as a little accident.
When he wakes, the morning sun is burning through the window onto their faces, and Mike’s cursing as he stands to close the curtains, stumbling all the way.
“Scoot over,” he grumbles, voice dry, and for a second Will can’t do anything other than sigh like a lovesick idiot. It’s a second too late for Mike, because he grumbles more words Will doesn’t catch under his breath and then physically pushes Will towards the wall to lay beside him, arm over Will’s middle. A second of silence passes, then Mike sighs, only to whine: “Fuck, my head hurts.”
Will can’t help it: he breaks down laughing, much to Mike’s offense.
