Summary

Summary
It has been two hundred and fifty days since Wei Wuxian died.
Wei Wuxian barely survives being thrown into the burial mounds.
But Wei Wuxian does not survive the burial mounds.
The man that drags himself from that barren dead wasteland can not, in any sense of the term, be called "alive."
But even dead Wei Wuxian cannot rest, cannot leave Jiang Cheng to fight and die alone.
Cannot let his sacrifice and his death be a waste. Once the war is over he can put himself to rest knowing that the people he cares about are safe.
Once the war is over he can die for good.Jiang Cheng refuses to lose another person to this god's forsaken war. Especially not Wei Wuxian. He he knows it's selfish but still he refuses. He will do anything to keep Wei Wuxian by his side, To keep him safe. Even if it means committing heresy, Even if it means putting his body and soul on the line, even if means going against Wei Wuxian's own wishes.
