He could not bear to meet the gaze of the girl he failed most of all. So he steadied himself, and held tighter to the hand offered to him by another he had betrayed. A kind boy he cared for distantly, but did not love. He looked into his eyes. Green. One last thing of beauty to behold, before the end.
Elsewhere. Elsewhere. Anywhere else, Luke Castellan wished as he brought the knife to the part of himself that he had chosen to anchor his humanity to. The shallowest cut made, and a light that encompassed him and Perseus was the last thing he saw before falling to the dark unknowing.
__This is an isekai story about Percy Jackson and Luke Castellan being transported to Calernia and falling in love with each other. PJO was the very first story I have ever read. I mean. There were others. Children's books and such. But it was the first "proper" story I've read. And "A Practical Guide to Evil" is my favorite story out of all that I've experienced.
