Caitlyn pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose with her index finger. She couldn’t make out much of the girl next to her, just broad shoulders and short hair.
She watched her silhouette lean forward to read the title. She said nothing.“Broken waves,” the other murmured to herself, her voice deep and calm. She straightened up to look better at the painting. “Hmm…”
“You don’t see any waves?” Caitlyn couldn’t help blurting out.
“No… I’d say more like… strawberries,” the girl replied, turning to glance at her.
“Strawberries?”
Caitlyn froze for a second, stunned. Then she burst out laughing.
OR: Caitlyn is a painter facing the slow loss of her sight, to the point of giving up her art. One day, she meets Vi, a passionate and unpretentious chef. Their unexpected connection opens Caitlyn to new ways of experiencing the world.
