Abaddon is forced to relive moments from his past after the Assyrian demonic artifact caused the ripple in the sky, and by proxy a tear in the fabric of space-time continuum. Safe to say Abaddon often forgets a lot of moments from his long life, for worse reasons.

Summary
The Six-Eared Macaque, the ever so graceful and sarcastic celestial primate that he was, after being brought back to life by the Bone Demon, has to deal with a bunch of mental shit and blasts from the past in the form of dreams and nightmares often overcoming his somewhat fragile mind.
He's often been painted as the villain, and while up until this point he was more so a puppet for the main villain, a side dish to the main course, perhaps, for once, those faux paintings will spring to life much like a shadow theater does when the big lights are closed.
