    Fucking incredible fic, top ten astrophage eating taomeba level amazing. It is just so DAMN FUNNY, and the characterisation is TOP TEIR!!!!! This author seriouslys knows their shit, and their literary comprehension must be through the roof because not only did they manage to 'replicate' the characterisation of Grace and Rocky to a T, but they went above and beyond and expanded upon them in such an amazing, interesting and unique way! This fic is my fanon bible now, i claim it, because it is so perfect and good and the headcanons on Eridian cultural norms is incredible and delicious and author i could kiss you come here right now imma lick you a wet one you can have all my firstborns and sixthborns because youve earner it.     A coincidence, that a poem with the exact same title and opening lines as his own work had made its way to publication? Unlikely.

    Snufkin didn’t have his original copy to compare the stolen poem against. He only enjoyed writing poetry. Afterwards, he never really wanted to revisit it or share it. He just left the old notebook behind somewhere and procured a new one, ready to start again.

    There was no denying the familiarity, though. After hearing it in Moominpappa’s voice, he couldn’t remember when or where he penned it, but the work was certainly his.

    That didn’t solve the issue of how this De Hemulton fellow had come to claim it as his own, or why.

The characterisation of everyone was flawless, moominmamma brilliant and loveable as always, snorkmaiden being one of the highlights of the read and an absolute bad bitch, not so subtle hints of snorkmaiden x little my, the brilliantly attractive and funny bookkeeper and her flirting shamelessly with the brilliant moominmamma, shaming the snoby horrible rich (always a pleasure) a crazy drunk gaggle of grannies thirsting over snufkin (valid), the brilliant concept of the bookworm who gives wonderful book recommendation, moping lovesick moomintroll with his sexy itresistable bedhair, once again snorkmaiden #1 wingman/snufmin shipper, moomin parents assuming snufmin was canon already, SHAMELESS SNUFKIN (my love, how i need you so), MOOMINPAPA AND SNORKMAIDEN GIVING THAT ASSSWAT THE BEATING HE DESERVES ❤️❤️❤️❤️ no one fucks with moominmama 😊. There was nothing i didn't absolutely adore about this fic. Its a true hidden gem, and I WILL be consuming this into my soul, thankyou. 🤲❤️‍🩹 please take my heart, its yours to keep 🧎‍♀️

    Honestly the sweetest, most heartwrenching interpretation of snufkin and joxters relationship i have ever read. Their slow building relationship of trust and connection was so beautiful to read, and i loved how the grwoing depth of their relationship was demonstrated through simple interactions of mundainity, as well as acts of caring for one another and protection. Witnessing Joxters slow journey of opening up to Snufkin, even without knowing fully who he was was so fricken sweet. Snufkins confusion over his growing attachment and care for this random guy was so cute, and his care for joxter while he was sick or hurt was so sweet and heartfelt 😢 💗. God i really fricken loved this fic, this is absolutely one of (if not the) my favourite moominvalley fics 🥹
