I mean, what if Dimitri said he loved Rose, not just that he wants her like an object? This fanfiction explores the idea that Strigoi really can feel emotions like love. It explores the possibility of Rose and Dimitri staying together instead of her running away.
This fic will go away from a lot of the canon, but I had to write something for this fandom. It's my childhood fandom, but it's sooo dead.

Adam, the world's first man and vampire, is bored with his life in the year 2023. He hasn't been as happy with the past two reincarnations of his wife, and he finds himself frequently dreaming of the past he had with his favorite version of her. He is given a cure by God himself and thinks his lifelong torture will finally end when he meets his next bride. When he meets her, he realizes she is not quite the same. After the horrible events of the vampiric apocalypse caused by an Adam whose newest wife can't have a single conversation with him without yelling, he stops caring about the future. With his money as the world's richest man, he creates the time machine that was once only a dream and sets off to the past to find his wife and assume his old identity. Will the time spent in the realm between space and time ruin him for her, or will he be able to live out the remainder of his life as a human by her side once he takes care of his alternate self? Already obsessive, and downright creepy, will Evil!Adam outsmart himself, or will his effort go completely wasted as he watches himself live the life he has already lived once before?
