Summary

Summary
Oikawa expects that his time in prison won't be the best two years of his life. What he doesn't expect is an antisocial cellblock, a half-crazed redhead who insists on befriending him, and the wildcard boss of Block Three who builds a grudge against him on day one. Worst of all is the menacing Iwaizumi Hajime, to whom Oikawa becomes an unwilling cellmate. Iwaizumi is coarse, unpleasant, and makes it quite clear that he wants nothing to do with Oikawa.
At first, anyway.
Within the first few months of his stay, Oikawa gets caught up in a war between cellblocks, becomes a prime target, and must decide just how far he's willing to go to protect Iwaizumi Hajime.

“No one,” Hajime says. Tooru continues staring at him with that look in his eye that he knows will get Hajime to stop hiding whatever it is he’s trying to hide. “My aunt,” Hajime confesses in a small, unsure voice. “She said we were getting too old to act the way we do. Y’know, that people would think we’re weird or something.”
“Well,” Tooru says, smiling but not really, “we’re not weird. And you can tell your aunt to go fuck herself.”

“My Cheerios,” his punished human mumbled, eyes glued to the ground forlornly.
“How can you even be functioning on this little sleep?” Sirius’ voice pitched higher and higher as he spoke. He wondered if he was capable of yanking his fake human hair out.

Andrew has always been the one others look to for protection, for saving, for safety. He’s made his share of deals, wielded knives for others, fought battles that weren’t his to fight. Having someone else do the same for him, to want to do the same for him, is a disturbing and frightening prospect. But maybe, just maybe, it doesn’t have to be a bad thing.
