People got lost here all the time. The place was a maze. Usually adults, looking to buy something illegal and ending up getting sold illegally instead. Kids were different. They cried and panicked. They, for sure, didn’t fight back.
And yet this one was.
He grabbed the kid and started walking, tugging him along without much thought. He didn’t know where he was going. Or why. He just knew he wanted to spend more time with him.
There was a tug in his chest. He felt… happy.
Zanka.
That was the kid’s name.

And it just so happened that one night Lance found himself all alone and far from home.

Shiro has been a Galra prisoner for over a year; with his flight feathers clipped and unable to fly. Desperate to escape, he jumps overboard while being transported to the capitol on a Galran ship. Lance is a merman who saves him from drowning. Keith thinks Shiro is about to become mermaid dinner. Hunk just wants Lance to stop going to the surface all the time, dammit!
(AU where Avians (winged folk), Galra, humans and merfolk cohabit earth. Shiro and Keith are avian soldiers, Lance is the youngest son of a Queen, Hunk is also a merman and Pidge is still looking for her family. They get caught up in a war.)

The six young thought they had most things under control, almost, after sorting things out with the government, but only partially. They were still looking for a way out of the phantom dimension when... out of nowhere, seven more young people appeared.
They found them because Aiden wanted to compare whether he could drown the phantom with the river that runs through the town. That's when they found a car almost sinking, and seven young people emerged, or rather, five young people their age and two children.
"Who are you?" Aiden asked a red-haired girl who seemed strangely familiar. "And who the hell are you?" she replied. The way she answered him seemed all too familiar.

Or the kids find seven young people who claim to be from the future. They have no idea how they ended up in this strange world and, for some reason, refuse to reveal their identities. It's clear they're hiding something.

Every touch of his fingers on his forehead, bridge of his nose, cheek, as Tyler brushed away the cut hair... Each touch burned on his skin, and Logan had to summon all his willpower not to lean closer, press his face against those neat, gentle fingers, and feel even more of that strange warmth.
